Job Title: Charles River Developer Location: Newark, NJ (Onsite – 3 days/week, No Remote) Job Type: C2C / Contract Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Charles River Developer with hands-on experience in Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, customizing, and integrating CRIMS to support trading workflows, portfolio management, and compliance systems. This role requires strong technical expertise along with a solid understanding of investment management and financial markets. Key Responsibilities • Configure and support CRIMS modules, including: • Portfolio Management • Trading • Compliance • IBOR (Investment Book of Record) • Develop and maintain system integrations using: • REST APIs • FIX protocol • Messaging frameworks (e.g., Kafka) • Build automation scripts for: • Batch processing • Data feeds • Workflow enhancements • Write, test, and debug code focusing on: • Performance • Scalability • Reusability • Collaborate with: • Business analysts • Traders • Portfolio managers • Translate business requirements into technical solutions Required Skills & Experience • 3+ years of experience working with Charles River (CRD/CRIMS) • Hands-on experience with: • CRIMS configuration and implementation • Workbench (Manager/Central) • Strong programming skills in: • SQL (complex queries, performance tuning) • Java or C# • Python • Experience with: • Charles River API Framework (frontend/backend) • REST APIs and integration patterns • Solid understanding of: • Financial markets • Investment management • Portfolio construction • Trading workflows, compliance rules, and risk models Preferred / Nice to Have • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure) • Familiarity with: • Kafka • Snowflake • FIX protocol Key Skills • Charles River IMS / CRIMS • Portfolio Management & Trading Systems • SQL, Java, C#, Python • REST APIs, FIX Protocol • Kafka, Snowflake • Investment Management Domain • System Integration & Automation
