Role description
Main mission: Under the direction of the CEO, the CTO of Coral Gardeners is responsible for defining, deploying, and overseeing the organization's technology strategy. This key role involves integrating innovative solutions to support coral reef restoration projects, optimize internal operations, and increase the overall impact of the organization through technology. Responsibilities: 1. Technology definition and strategy: • Develop a technology vision aligned with Coral Gardeners' mission and strategic objectives; • Identify and deploy innovative technologies to improve coral restoration techniques, environmental data collection, and public awareness; • Continuously monitor technological advancements (e.g., artificial intelligence, IoT, 3D modeling) to integrate relevant developments. 1. Management of systems and technological tools: • Oversee the development and maintenance of the organization's IT systems, software, and tools; • Develop digital platforms for collecting and analyzing environmental data on coral reefs; • Ensure the security of information systems and the protection of data. 1. Technical project management: • Manage technical projects from design to implementation, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met; • Design eco-friendly and low environmental impact technological solutions; • Integrate tools to measure and maximize the impact of coral restoration efforts. 1. Interdepartmental collaboration and innovation: • Collaborate with scientific, marketing, and communications teams to integrate technology into their activities (e.g., data visualization, interactive applications, educational tools); • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization; • Regularly communicate with the CEO and other departments about the progress of technological projects. 1. External partnerships and development: • Develop technological partnerships with universities, businesses, or specialized startups; • Lead and train the technical team, ensuring their skill development. Skills: • Expertise in managing technological projects and deploying innovative solutions; • Deep knowledge in software development, data analysis, and cloud tools; • Mastery of cybersecurity standards and data management; • Strategic vision and the ability to anticipate technological trends; • Strong leadership and team management skills; • Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify technical concepts for diverse audiences; • Passion for environmental issues and marine conservation. Qualification level: • Experience in using advanced technologies (AI, IoT, geolocation systems, drones, etc.).
