Role description
Insight Global is looking to hire a Tableau Developer in the Baltimore, MD area to support a defense contracting company. This individual will serve as the Technical Lead and act as the liaison between department and larger IT team to coordinate approvals, migrations, and production releases. This person will eventually be read onto a Secret Clearance, so applicants must be eligible to obtain one. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: β€’ Prepare and model raw data for Tableau consumption. β€’ Create and manage connections to new and existing data sources. β€’ Build dimensions, measures, calculated fields, and Hyper extracts. β€’ Develop, publish, and maintain dashboards and reports in Tableau Desktop and Server. β€’ Validate data accuracy and collaborate with data engineers and analysts. β€’ Troubleshoot and resolve data, dashboard, and performance issues. β€’ Monitor extract schedules, resource usage, and overall system performance. β€’ Apply data‑visualization best practices and leverage strong SQL and database knowledge. β€’ Manage user access and ensure adherence to governance protocols. β€’ Coordinate releases, migrations, and production sign‑offs. β€’ Serve as primary liaison with Tableau Admin, DBA teams, and business stakeholders. β€’ Provide Tier‑1 support, knowledge transfer, and ongoing user assistance. β€’ Conduct unit testing to ensure system integrity before production deployment. Compensation: $57/hr to $64/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
