Role Responsibilities
• Design high-quality, real-world climate analysis problems to support training and evaluation of frontier AI systems.
• Develop multi-step tasks involving environmental data discovery, extraction, and analysis across public data portals.
• Craft climate and geophysical workflows requiring navigation of government and scientific databases.
• Create detailed evaluation rubrics to assess AI reasoning, data interpretation, and analytical performance.
• Apply climate science and data analysis expertise to ensure scientific accuracy and real-world relevance.
• Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team of research and domain experts.
Requirements
• PhD in Climate Science, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Geophysics, or a related field from a top institution.
• Professional research experience in climate science, environmental monitoring, or geophysical data analysis.
• Familiarity with environmental and climate databases such as NOAA, EPA, EIA, USGS, or NASA Earth Data.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical reasoning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with high English proficiency.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, project-based environment.
