Role description
Position: Amazon Connect Engineer Location: Plano, TX- Onsite Duration: 6 Months contract to Hire Responsibilities • Design, implement, and support cloud-based contact center solutions using Amazon Connect and AWS services. • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform for automated cloud resource provisioning. • Build, deploy, and optimize applications and integrations using Python (or Java) within the AWS ecosystem. • Engineer and manage Amazon Connect environments, including configuration of IAM, Lex, Lambda, KMS, S3, and Kinesis. • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/Jules and manage code repositories with Git/Bitbucket. • Rapidly prototype proof-of-concept solutions and scale them to production-ready systems. • Monitor, debug, and provide production support for large-scale environments using tools such as Splunk, Datadog, and CloudWatch. • Implement and support RESTful APIs for contact center integrations and automation. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient voice solutions. • Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure engineering, automation, and data fluency. • Support container orchestration and deployment in AWS Cloud environments. • Apply best practices for data security, compliance, and call recording in telephony platforms. • Stay current with AWS certifications and emerging cloud technologies. Technical Skills • Expert-level proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python or Java.Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for cloud resource provisioning and management. • Proven ability to design and implement applications on public cloud platforms, especially AWS. • Extensive hands-on experience with Amazon Connect and related AWS ecosystem services, including IAM, Lex, Lambda, KMS (data security), S3, and Kinesis. • Proficient in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Jules, and version control systems like Git or Bitbucket. • Demonstrated ability to rapidly build proof-of-concepts and scale them into robust, large-scale solutions. • Motivated to expand infrastructure engineering expertise, data fluency, and automation capabilities across additional domains. • Skilled in debugging, monitoring, maintaining, and providing production support in large environments using tools such as Splunk, Datadog, and CloudWatch. • Knowledge of voice technologies (WebRTC), call recording, and telephony platforms is highly desirable. • Experience with container orchestration and deployment in AWS Cloud environments. • Proficient in building and supporting RESTful APIs for integration and automation. • AWS certification is a strong plus.
