Role description
Job Title: Cloud Data Engineer (Python / SQL)
Location: Remote (Must be in USA)
Job Type: Contract to hire/CTH
Note: Only USC / GC/H4EAD
Role Overview
This team is modernizing data systems and moving away from legacy/mainframe pipelines. The engineer will build and enhance cloud-based data ingestion and ETL pipelines to support wealth & investment data (trust & brokerage).
Key Responsibilities
• Build & maintain cloud-based ETL/data pipelines
• Handle large-scale data ingestion, aggregation, and processing
• Modernize legacy data systems to cloud environment
• Work closely with data engineering team in daily stand-ups
Must-Have Skills
• Strong Cloud Data Engineering experience
• ETL pipeline development
• Python
• SQL (PostgreSQL experience preferred)
• AWS experience (Azure/GCP okay if strong cloud data background)
• Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) like Terraform
If candidate does not have solid Python + SQL + Cloud ETL background → not a fit
