Summary
The GCP Platform Administrator will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cloud technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Manage and optimize GCP resources, ensuring high availability and performance for applications and services.
β’ Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Terraform to enhance deployment processes.
β’ Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and deploy scalable and secure cloud-based applications.
β’ Establish and enforce IAM policies, ensuring compliance with security best practices and organizational policies.
β’ Monitor system performance using tools such as Stackdriver, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
β’ Conduct capacity planning and resource management to align cloud infrastructure with business needs.
β’ Provide technical support and training to team members on Google Cloud best practices and solutions.
β’ Stay updated on the latest GCP features and trends, evaluating their potential impact on our operations.
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
β’ years of experience in cloud administration, specifically in Google Cloud Platform.
β’ Proficiency in GCP services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.
β’ Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
β’ Strong knowledge of networking and security in cloud environments.
β’ Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
β’ Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
