Responsibilities Kforce has a client in Birmingham, AL that is seeking a Cloud DevSecOps Engineer (AWS). Summary: The Cloud DevSecOps Engineer IV will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, automated CI/CD pipelines supporting modern cloud-native applications. This engineer will collaborate closely with delivery teams to optimize deployment strategies, improve automation reliability, and embed security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.This role is ideal for a seasoned DevSecOps professional who thrives in collaborative team environments, demonstrates ownership of their work, and has a deep understanding of AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and enterprise-grade automation tools. Responsibilities: • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support secure and reliable application delivery • Collaborate with delivery teams to understand build and deployment requirements, translating them into automated solutions • Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and manage configurations via GitHub repositories • Utilize GitHub Actions for pipeline automation and integrate with tools such as Artifactory and Harness • Monitor, analyze, and optimize pipeline performance using observability tools like Dynatrace • Integrate security practices (-Shift Left-) into the development pipeline to ensure continuous compliance and protection • Mentor developers and team members in DevSecOps best practices, automation, and secure deployment methodologies • Contribute to the team culture by emphasizing collaboration, accountability, and ownership Requirements • High School Diploma or GED and ten (10) years of related post-secondary education and/or experience in Information Security or Information Technology • Hands-on experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines • Strong expertise with AWS, Terraform, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Artifactory • Proficient in Python for automation and scripting tasks • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset Preferred Qualifications • AWS DevOps or Azure DevOps certification • 6 years of relevant DevSecOps experience • Experience with cloud-native deployments using OpenShift or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) • Familiarity with blue/green and canary deployment strategies • Hands-on experience integrating with secrets management solutions (e.g., HashiCorp Vault) • Exposure to chaos engineering principles and testing within pipelines • Knowledge of automation testing tools integrated into CI/CD environments • Experience defining pipelines as code using YAML specifications and Ansible playbooks • Working knowledge of Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Packer, Git, and ServiceNow The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
