Salary: $45.00 to $50.00 hourly
Description
We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a DevOps (Linux, AWS, Rel Mgmt) II (Contractor) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As part of our team, you will be playing an instrumental role in our Site Reliability Engineering team, contributing to our digital transformation project and ensuring the smooth operation of our online platform supporting multiple brands.
Responsibilities
• Lead the infrastructure and automation efforts for our Digital Transformation, ensuring the seamless scaling of projects.
• Collaborate with multiple Digital Transformation product teams, providing assistance and support as needed.
• Design and implement monitoring solutions for projects through automation, using your expertise in cloud technologies and monitoring tools.
• Take ownership of the reporting and accountability of all eCommerce performance metrics, using your skills in KPI reporting and analysis.
• Build and enhance scalable application infrastructure with a focus on delivering world-class eCommerce capabilities.
• Define and deliver global application roadmaps and technology platforms in line with industry best practices.
• Oversee the development and deployment of all release management features for our online systems.
• Maintain log centralization of numerous applications using Splunk.
• Utilize your coding skills in Python or Ruby to implement efficient solutions.
• Manage the infrastructure and system needs for the Site Reliability Engineering role, using your knowledge of DevOps and AWS technologies.
Requirements
• Proven experience in DevOps, ideally with a focus on Linux and AWS technologies.
• Demonstrable skills in reporting and KPI reporting, with the ability to design and implement effective monitoring tools.
• Proficiency in Python and coding best practices.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in scaling out and enhancing scalability.
• Experience with transformation and innovation in a digital engineering context.
• Familiarity with deployment strategies and practices, preferably in an e-commerce application setting.
• Strong background in computer sciences.
• Understanding of continuous integration (CI) principles.
• Proficiency in using configuration management tools such as Chef and Ansible.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• Experience in supporting high-traffic, high-availability environments.
• Demonstrable commitment to keeping up with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
