🌐 Position: Cloud Engineer (W2 Contract) 📍 Location: Sterling, VA (Hybrid) 🕒 Type: W2 Contract | Shift-Based | 24/7 Support Environment Join a cutting-edge media technology team supporting global broadcast delivery across 300+ channels. As a Cloud Engineer, you'll ensure seamless playout automation and infrastructure reliability for high-profile networks. 🔧 Key Responsibilities • Support cloud infrastructure and multi-channel playout automation systems • Troubleshoot media workflows and ensure high availability • Monitor IP networks (TCP/IP, UDP, RTP, VLANs, multicast) • Maintain Windows/Linux servers and cloud-based environments • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for optimal performance • Document SOPs and manage incident tracking for timely resolution 💡 Must-Have Skills • 3+ years in IT networking (IP configs, trace route, basic troubleshooting) • 3+ years in cloud platforms (AWS or similar) • Remote troubleshooting experience (SSH, Telnet, RDP) • Strong understanding of Windows/Linux OS and virtual/cloud environments 🌟 Preferred Skills • Advanced networking, SAN, firewalls, routers, AD, load balancers • Knowledge of MPEG-4, Transport Streams, and broadcast automation systems • Familiarity with SMPTE standards, Dolby AC3, CC 708/608 • Certifications like CCNA, AWS Architect, CompTIA, VMware Associate 🤝 Soft Skills • Flexible to work any shift (including nights, weekends, holidays) • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities • Self-driven, adaptable to new tech, and calm under pressure • Excellent team collaboration and customer service mindset
