We help financial institutions ensure that their operational, regulatory and management data is complete, accurate, timely and fully auditable β particularly within complex environments where data is distributed across multiple systems.
Our solutions automate data controls, reconciliations, workflows and exception management, enabling clients to reduce operational risk, strengthen data governance and enhance confidence in reporting across highly regulated environments. Serving both buy-side and sell-side organisations worldwide, Gresham partners with clients to deliver trusted, transparent and resilient data operations.
Position Summary

As a DBA with ThinkFolio experience, you will work to support a client-focused platform to optimise ThinkFolioβs Database performance and review the cost optimization strategy, and to provide incident root cause and remediations.
Job Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture

β’ Provide ThinkFolio-centric, root cause analysis and remediations for incidents and issues
Site Reliability (SRE) & Observability
β’ Help to own and modernize the observability stack, transitioning from reactive monitoring to proactive alerting.
FinOps & Cost Optimization
β’ Establish and lead FinOps practices to optimize AWS cloud spend, improve cost visibility, and align infrastructure investments with business value.
β’ Track, analyse, and monitor cloud performance metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising performance.
Incident Response & Resolution
β’ Required to support P1/P2 incident response and both tactical and strategical resolutions.
β’ Required to help draft RCAs with appropriate client success teams that can be shared with clients.
Role Requirements
β’ Experience of Infrastructure/Cloud experience supporting enterprise-wide, mission-critical platforms.
β’ Thinkfolio experience is critical and experience in highly regulated industries (financial services, fintech, or asset management) is highly desirable.
β’ Understanding of real-time trading systems or compliance-driven architectures is a significant plus.
β’ Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent real-world experience.
β’ Technical Expertise in: Cloud Platforms: Deep, hands-on expertise in AWS; Database: Deep, low-level, hands-on experience with SQL Server; Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong proficiency with Terraform and Ansible; Containers & Orchestration: Experience with Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and serverless architectures.
β’ Passionate technologist with a commercial mindset.
β’ Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.
β’ High energy, analytical, adaptable, and open-minded.
