Cloud Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Cloud Engineer GCP Pub/sub for a Contract job with a client in Dearborn, MI. "The ideal candidate should have experience with 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer GCP Pub/SUB Rate Range: $50/hour to $55/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Cloud Engineer Job responsibilities include: • Cloud Data Messaging Services Specialist responsible for building and managing scalable, event-driven architectures using GCP Pub/Sub and Confluent Kafka Cloud. • Develop and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and CI/CD pipelines to enable secure, resilient messaging platforms. • Integrate with cloud-native tools like Cloud Run, Dataflow, and enforce SRE practices for high availability and performance. • Collaborate with DevOps teams, enhance developer adoption, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement in cloud messaging services. Desired Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field. • DevOps/IT Operations Engineer with 5+ years of experience, including 2+ years in cloud data messaging (GCP Pub/Sub, Confluent Kafka) and IaC with Terraform. • Skilled in Python/Shell scripting, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Cloud Build, Tekton), and cloud automation across public or on-prem environments. • Strong in IAM, authentication protocols (OAuth2, LDAP, SSL), networking concepts, and SRE practices including monitoring (Grafana, Dynatrace).
