Role description
TIBCO Business Events (BE) Developer β Job Description
β’ Strong hands-on experience with TIBCO Business Events (5.x and above) including rule modeling, inference engine configuration, decision tables, scorecards, state models, and event processing frameworks.
β’ Expertise in designing and developing real-time complex event processing (CEP) solutions using Business Events, focusing on high-performance, scalable and fault-tolerant architectures.
β’ Experience integrating BE with TIBCO BusinessWorks (5.x/6.x), ActiveSpaces 2.x, EMS, Hawk, and Administrator, enabling end-to-end event-driven solutions.
β’ Strong skills in TIBCO ActiveSpaces for distributed in-memory storage integration with BEβincluding space design, indexing, queries, and caching strategies.
β’ Experience with event consumption, enrichment, correlation, deduplication, and rule execution logic to support enterprise process automation.
β’ Ability to work independently and in teams, with demonstrated adaptability to new concepts and technologies.
β’ Exposure to complete SDLC, including requirements gathering, design reviews, development, testing, deployment, production monitoring, and enhancement cycles.
β’ Experience participating in architecture discussions and solution design workshops for CEP-based integration strategies.
β’ Hands-on experience integrating BE solutions with relational databases like Oracle, IBM DB2, and SQL Server, including data caching and reference lookups.
β’ Strong background in object-oriented design, J2EE concepts, RUP, UML, and enterprise design patterns relevant to event-driven and rule-based systems.
β’ Proficiency with XML, XSD, DTD, XPath, and XSLT, especially for message and rules configuration.
β’ Expertise in Web Services (SOAP/WSDL) and SOA fundamentals for service-based event triggers and outputs.
β’ Knowledge of application servers like WebSphere, WebLogic, Oc4j, and Sun One, with experience deploying and tuning BE environments.
β’ Strong experience with TIBCO Administrator for managing BE applications, user access roles, resource allocation and deployment lifecycle.
β’ Experience configuring and administering EMS/JMS including queues, topics, clusters, and HA setups for BE event communication.
β’ Proficiency in TIBCO Hawk, including writing BE-aware rulebases for automated infrastructure and process monitoring.
β’ Experience with RV/RVRD administration is an added advantage.
