Cloud Engineer - Python / Pyspark

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a PySpark Developer to join their dynamic team. As a PySpark Developer, you will be part of the Data Engineering Department supporting Data Science and Analytics teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Cloud Engineer / PySpark Developer Location: Charlotte, NC - Hybrid What's the Job? • Design, develop, and optimize large-scale data processing workflows using Apache Spark. • Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud-native data processing platforms on GCP and OpenShift. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and support production deployments. • Implement security measures including RBAC and data encryption to ensure compliance. • Monitor system health and troubleshoot distributed systems to ensure high performance and reliability. What's Needed? • 3+ years of experience working with Apache Spark for big data processing. • 2+ years of Django development experience. • 1+ years of creating and maintaining conda environments. • 2+ years managing containerized environments with OpenShift or Kubernetes. • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
