Role description
Davies Consulting Serivices is seeking a technically creative and hands-on Cloud Software Engineer to design and develop robust, cloud-native systems powering intelligent automation and decision-making. You’ll work on APIs, Azure Functions, and event-driven services that form the backbone of scalable, AI-ready enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and optimize APIs and Azure Function Apps for scalable, secure cloud services.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and testable code in Python, C#, or TypeScript.
• Integrate with SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-native data stores.
• Build event-driven architectures using Azure Event Grid, Durable Functions, and API Management.
• Experiment with new SDKs, APIs, and frameworks supporting AI and agentic workflows.
• Apply modern software engineering practices: automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, cost optimization.
• Collaborate in design reviews, mentoring sessions, and agile standups.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of software engineering experience (backend or full-stack).
• Hands-on expertise with Azure cloud, API development, and serverless functions.
• Strong proficiency in C# or Python (TypeScript a plus).
• Experience with event-driven or microservices architectures.
• Creative problem solver with curiosity to explore new technologies.
• Must be local to the NYC metro area (hybrid).
