Cloud Engineer

AWS Engineer – Contract (Inside IR35) – Remote (UK) We're looking for an AWS Engineer to lead the delivery of secure, compliant and well-architected cloud environments. This role is fully remote and focused on greenfield AWS builds within a regulated industry. What You’ll Be Doing • Designing and building new AWS environments from the ground up • Developing regulated cloud services in line with ISO, SOC, GDPR, HIPAA or similar standards • Automating infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation and infrastructure-as-code practices • Applying AWS Well-Architected Framework principles across security, reliability and cost efficiency • Managing VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, VPNs and secure networking • Working with security, compliance and DevOps teams to ensure governance and automation are in place • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams What You’ll Need • Strong commercial experience in AWS engineering and greenfield environment builds • Background working in regulated or compliance-driven cloud environments • Advanced knowledge of AWS CloudFormation and IaC practices • Deep understanding of AWS networking, security and IAM policies • Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected Framework • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Available to work via PAYE or umbrella engagement (no LTD) Contract Details ✔ 6-month contract ✔ Fully remote (UK-based) ✔ Inside IR35 via umbrella or PAYE ✔ Working with a major UK brand in financial services Apply now via Haystack.
