Position Title: Senior Cloud Reliability Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid work environment)
Clearance Requirements: Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Position Description:
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Reliability Engineer to join a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team supporting cloud foundational platforms in a large-scale, mission-critical environment.
As a key member of the Cloud Solutions & Services department, you will lead efforts to enhance the reliability, observability, and automation of cloud network infrastructure in AWS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement SRE best practices, develop monitoring solutions, reduce toil, and respond to incidents that impact availability or performance.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape cloud reliability standards and build solutions that impact a large and secure cloud infrastructure used nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
• Champion SRE culture and practices across cloud network infrastructure teams
• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure automation using Python or GoLang
• Lead the implementation of SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to ensure service reliability
• Develop synthetic monitoring (canaries) and observability pipelines for cloud services
• Implement full-stack observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Canary, and AWS EventBridge
• Monitor and improve the reliability of cloud networking services including VPCs, VPNs, Transit Gateways, GWLB, and firewalls
• Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive long-term fixes
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform to manage AWS resources
• Identify, design, and implement reusable reliability engineering solutions to reduce operational overhead (Toil)
• Collaborate with Agile product teams to continuously improve platform health and performance
• Contribute to building a culture of reliability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Required Skills/Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
• 5–7 years of enterprise software development lifecycle experience, including maintenance and support
• 3+ years of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or Observability experience
• 3+ years of experience in Cloud Networking (VPC, VPN, Load Balancers, Firewalls, etc.)
• Strong development experience in Python or GoLang
• Extensive experience working in AWS cloud environments
• Proficient in tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, AWS EventBridge, AWS Canary
• Experience with OpenTelemetry and observability patterns
• Proven ability to automate manual tasks and reduce operational toil
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or other IaC tools
• Knowledge of secure coding practices; experience in regulated or banking environments is a plus
• Experience in Agile or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator) are highly desirable
• Knowledge of Azure is a plus
