Role description
Job Title: Cloud Engineer- ELK Specialist Location: Scotland (Edinburgh or Glasgow) Working Pattern: Hybrid- 2 days a week in the office Only candidates with active Security Clearance will be considered. What the role is about: This role is for someone with strong technical experience who will help build and support software and cloud systems. The focus is on improving how the team monitors and manages data using a toolset called ELK, which stands for Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana. You’ll be part of a team that ensures software runs smoothly, is easy to maintain, and can be monitored effectively. The job is a mix of development, operations, and infrastructure work-basically helping systems work well and spotting problems early using data and monitoring tools. What makes this role special: This isn’t just a general cloud engineering job- it specifically needs someone who is an expert in ELK. You’ll use your skills in ELK to help improve how the organization tracks system performance and alerts teams when something goes wrong. Key things you should know or have experience with: β€’ Working with ELK: Elasticsearch (search engine), Logstash (data processing), and Kibana (data visualization). β€’ Setting up and managing large ELK systems. β€’ Handling large amounts of data and making sure it's indexed (organized) efficiently. β€’ Creating useful dashboards and visualizations to track what's happening in the systems. β€’ Writing data pipelines (ways to move and transform data) using Logstash or similar tools. β€’ Tuning and maintaining ELK so it runs smoothly and performs well.
