Role description
Job Title: Cloud Engineering - Technical Lead Location: Fully Onsite to Alameda CA Job Type: Contract to hire Job Description: "As a Sr. TL in AWS and DevOps Engage with stakeholders to design cloud environments, Create Design documents, runbooks for new tools and services as applicable. Build designed cloud environments using Terraform, deploy designed environments to test and production, Monitor Deployment and update stake holders. Advanced level of terraform knowledge . Working with modules, use of terraform functions and a custom terraform backend. Knowledge of code quality tools such as TFSec, GitLeaks and Semgrep to identify hard coded keys in the code will be added advantage Added advantage is use of Atlantis tool to deploy infrastructure through terraform pull requests. Work with Github Actions and OIDC to trigger terraform code to perform infra tasks such as - deploy applications, deploy S3 content, Primary (Must have skills) β€’ - To be Screened by TA Team "AWS Services & DevOps Work on designing/re-designing / debugging and creation of infrastructure using AWS services - β€’ Lambda : E.g. to gather metrics from other AWS services e.g. S3, IAM etc.., β€’ Make use of EKS, ECS to deploy container workloads β€’ Deploy and configure ECS, ECR β€’ SSM Setup and Configuration β€’ AWS EC2, ASG , Create custom AMI with agents of tools such as cortex and tenable β€’ AWS Control Tower β€’ AWS Cognito β€’ Systems Manager β€’ Route53 as domain hosting service β€’ Secrets manager to rotate access keys for services such as JIRA or RDS β€’ Advanced S3 usage - lifecycle policies, bucket policy, expiration policy Create custom terraform modules to create different AWS services Understand components of AWS well architected framework especially on Security, cost optimization and Performance" Soft skills/other skills - To be Evaluated by Hiring Manager (To define how this will be evaluated) Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with internal and customer stakeholders Communication approach: verbal, emails and instant messages Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain productive relationships with team members Provide constructive feedback during code reviews and be open to receiving feedback on your own code. Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking: Capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Analytical mindset Task/ Work Updates Prior experience in working on Agile/Scrum projects with exposure to tools like Jira/Azure DevOps Provides regular updates, proactive and due diligent to carry out responsibilities. Expected Outcome: We are looking for a skilled Sr. TL in AWS/DevOps who is proficient in AWS and Terraform and CI/CD tools and technologies The ideal candidate should be passionate about Cloud and DevOps technologies and able to understand the customer requirements and accordingly deliver solutions.
