Role description
 Remote (U.S. only) | Contract-to-Hire
Other Requirements: U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only.
About Us
Quantum Network (through SecureCo) builds secure, distributed systems for government
and enterprise customers where privacy, security, and resiliency are mission-critical. As a
government contractor, we work on problems that matter: protecting national security,
safeguarding sensitive data, and enabling next-generation secure networking. Our
engineers get the best of both worlds—the agility of a startup and the stability of
government-backed contracts—while tackling cutting-edge challenges in cloud, DevOps,
and distributed systems.
The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer to join on a contract-
to-hire basis. This is an individual contributor role: you’ll design, automate, and operate
cloud systems directly. If you’ve been the “go-to DevOps person” in a startup or the first
engineer to build infrastructure from scratch, you’ll thrive here. The ideal candidate has
strong multi-cloud expertise (AWS, GCP, and Azure) and can deliver cloud-agnostic
solutions. You’ll be solving problems that keep real-world systems resilient and secure.
What You’ll Do
• Architect and implement secure, scalable multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, and
Azure).
• Build and own CI/CD pipelines that accelerate engineering while keeping systems safe and
reliable.
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes/ECS/AKS/GKE clusters and containerized services.
• Implement observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) to keep systems resilient and
debuggable.
• Solve problems end-to-end: from Terraform scripts to incident response.
• Partner closely with developers and product teams to deliver infrastructure that matches
business needs.
What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE/Cloud Engineering.
• Hands-on expertise across AWS, GCP, and Azure (multi-cloud experience required).
• Strong skills with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred;
Ansible/CloudFormation/Bicep a plus).
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins,
GitLab CI, etc.).
• Hands-on Kubernetes/container orchestration across multiple cloud providers.
• Background in monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK,
Cloud-native tools).
• Bonus: prior startup/scale-up experience or track record as a solo DevOps/infra engineer.
• Must be U.S.-based and either a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
Why Join Us
• Contribute to work that directly supports U.S. national security and mission-critical
systems.
• Get startup-style autonomy and impact with the stability of government-backed contracts.
• Build security-first infrastructure at the edge of cloud, networking, and DevOps
innovation.
• Work in a small, fast-moving team where your contributions are visible and valued.
• Opportunity to convert to a full-time role after initial contract.
