β’ Role Overview
The Cloud Security Engineer will leverage cloud security tooling and data to develop meaningful security metrics, dashboards, and insights. This role is responsible for automating data extraction, transforming cloud security outputs into actionable reports, and building KPIs/KRIs that help business units understand and improve their cloud security posture.
Experience With Wiz Is Required.
Key Responsibilities
Security Reporting & Analytics
β’ Develop and maintain scripts to extract data from cloud security tools (via APIs) and transform it into consumable datasets.
β’ Build automated pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading using Excel, Power Query, or similar tooling.
β’ Create dashboards and visual analytics using Power BI to present cloud security posture, risk trends, and compliance insights.
β’ Produce recurring and ad-hoc reports that highlight vulnerabilities, remediation progress, and key risk indicators.
β’ Build relational models and datasets within Power BI for scalable reporting.
β’ Be responsible for development and delivery of:
β’ Monthly cloud vulnerability and security posture reports for each business unit.
β’ Quarterly State of Cloud Security presentation decks.
β’ Development and ongoing refinement of Cloud Security KPIs and KRIs.
β’ Methodologies to track remediation progress and benchmark business unit performance.
β’ Reporting on compliance framework pass/fail rates across business units.
Tooling & Development
β’ Build relational models and datasets within Power BI for scalable reporting.
β’ Explore automation and advanced analytics opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
β’ Operate in an Agile environment using Jira (Sprints, Epics, Stories) to manage workload and deliverables.
β’ Work independently while effectively communicating progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership.
Requirements
β’ 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or a similar cloud-focused security role.
β’ Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; and familiarity with cloud-native security controls.
β’ Deep understanding of cloud security concepts, compliance frameworks, and best practices.
β’ Proven experience delivering cloud security posture and compliance reporting at scale.
β’ Experience defining and implementing cloud security KPIs/KRIs.
β’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
β’ Hands-on experience with Power BI (including relational dataset modeling).
β’ Proficiency with Excel, Power Query, and automation of data workflows.
β’ Experience with cloud security platforms such as CSPM, CWP, CNAPPβWiz experience required.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP,
