Role description
Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Cloud/DevOps Engineer - IIIΒ to join a financial services company in San Francisco, CA. This is a 12-month contract to start with the potential for extensions. Pay: $90.00 - $110.00/hr;Β W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Schedule:Β Hybrid Description: β€’ Working with the development teams and DevOps teams to create and implement STAR's β€’ Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline β€’ Work with National IT to create and implement the tooling required for Continuous Delivery β€’ Ensure our systems and tooling are future proof and can accommodate growth and continually changing requirements β€’ Participate in design and planning sessions to ensure changes to tooling or services are accounted for β€’ Design and implement process improvements β€’ Coach and mentor others on Platform Engineering and DevOps best practices Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, β€’ Systems Analysis or a related field or equivalent work experience. β€’ 7+ years of industry experience in building and supporting enterprise level systems as a platform engineer or equivalent in a production environment β€’ 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing, supporting, and using the tools and services required for DevOps best practices. This includes but not limited to: β€’ Linux (RHEL) β€’ Application services (WebSphere, Tomcat, Spring Boot) β€’ Source code control systems (Subversion, Git variants) β€’ Build systems (Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI) β€’ Static analysis tools (SonarQube, Fortify) β€’ Containerization tools (Docker, Podman) β€’ Orchestration and environment management tools (Puppet, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform) β€’ Monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog) β€’ Programming or scripting languages (Java, C++, C#, Python, Bash) β€’ Automated testing tools (Selenium, TestComplete) β€’ 3+ years hands-on experience with AWS services - building, deploying, and monitoring β€’ using AWS tools and services such as AWS CodePipeline, AWS CloudWatch, AWS β€’ CloudFormation, and AWS X-Ray β€’ Thorough understanding of APIs, gateways, orchestrators, databases, networking, β€’ monitoring, configuration management and security best practices for a production β€’ environment Primary Talent Partners is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
