Codebase Partner for AI Initiatives | $200/hr Remote

At Crossing Hurdles, we work as a referral partner. We refer candidates to our partner that collaborates with world’s leading AI research labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models. Position: OSS Contributors (CTO/Founders) Type: Hourly Contract Compensation: $130–$200/hour Location: Remote Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided) • Authorize & enable access: Verify legal authority to grant a limited license for evaluation and (if agreed) training use; coordinate secure repository access (read-only, scoped) • Curate high-value datasets: Select representative modules/services, strip or mask secrets/PII, and define inclusion/exclusion rules • Design realistic evaluations: Create task suites spanning your stack (refactors, bug-fixes, feature diffs, tests, performance work), grounded in production code • Develop test harnesses: Build or guide test cases and scoring reflecting real engineering constraints (builds, CI, style, coverage, performance) • Analyze outcomes: Review model behaviour on your code, highlight failure modes, and propose improvements aligned to your architecture • Ensure compliance & security: Partner on data handling (DPA/MSA/SOW), audit logs, redaction, secret scanning, and access revocation Required Skills • Current or former CTO/founder with control or authorization over a substantial, production codebase (mono-repo or multi-service) • Ability to grant a time-boxed, purpose-limited license for evaluation and, if agreed, training on selected code segments • Deep knowledge of system architecture, tooling, and standards (Git, CI/CD, testing, observability) • Fluent in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, C/C++, JavaScript, TypeScript (others welcome) • Ability to collaborate asynchronously with researchers/engineers and work independently Application process: (Takes 20 min) • Upload resume • AI interview based on your resume (15 min) • Submit form
