We currently have an urgent opening for a Cognos Administrator, Fully Remote Position Details : Title: Cognos Administrat orLocation: 100% Remot e Duration: Long Term Contrac t Pay Rate: $Negotiabl e Job Descripti • on.The Advanced Analytics Cognos Administrator is responsible for the Installation configuration, administration, developer support, and on-call support of the reporting and analytical solutions for the business community. The Cognos Administrator is responsible for support and upgrade environments to Cognos v11 and for internal customer (reporting developers) facing activities of proposing solutions, and validating that these solutions meet the needs of the business. The Cognos Administrator must have strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills. The team member will have exposure to tool administration, installation, configuration, code deployment, security administration, data analysis, querying and troubleshooting. The job entails working with all aspects of Cognos in a Data Warehouse and Operational Data Store environment interacting with business units and enabling grou • ps.Administrate the BI applications. Provide a stable production environment that meets performance needs and make adjustments as needed. Resolve production issues in a timely manner including on-call support as needed and maintain audit/security. Working with other internal and external resources, plan and manage BI system implementations and upgrades, license management, security, and future/additional product evaluations for the business intelligence applications as needed. Maintain and monitor all BI environments including development, test, production, and disaster recove • ry.Cross-train and coordinate with team members in order to provide seamless and consistent system support. Proactively develop, coordinate, and provide on-going training, functional, and technical direction to the super-users (content developers). Research functionality and technical configuration within the BI systems supported by the BI Applications group and prepare recommendations for system improvements whenever possib • le.Provide Management with regular and timely status reports and benchmarking metrics of projects, issues, system implementations and upgrad • es.Create documentation for project status reports, timelines, project issues and risks, change requests, requirements, design, testing plans and test cases as needed for assigned projec • ts.Define and document application best practices, required standards, processes, and guidelines regarding the use and administration of the BI too • ls.Technical interface with IT local landscape teams, and Enterprise Data Warehouse teams Work with IT Local Landscape teams, DIAA Teams, Project Managers, Team Leads, and Technical Leads, as well as representatives from vendors to identify and resolve issues and remove obstacles in achieving the Advanced analytics objectiv • es.Partners and consults with business partners to understand their business requirements; recommends/designs research and analysis to improve business performan ce. Ski • lls:5-7 Years designing, developing, and administering Business Intelligence applications. Experience should include maintenance and support activities, performance monitoring and tuning, upgrading versions, software configuration, business continuity and disaster recovery planning, and general IT processes such as Change Management, Configuration Management, Problem Resolution, and Incident Tracking requi • red.Cognos R11 upgrade experience requi red.
