Cognos Developer

Job Title: TM1 Planning Analytics Developer Location: New York, NY (Onsite) Hiring Mode/Duration: Contract/6+ Months Job ID: 30011-1 (10299964) Pay Rate: $55/Hr. (bit negotiable) Technologies: • Primary: IBM Cognos TM1 Planning Analytics (v2.1), Oracle, Cognos BI, Workiva • Other Tools: PAx, PAW, MS Excel Description: We are seeking an experienced TM1 Planning Analytics Developer with strong expertise in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-wide financial planning and business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of architecting distributed Cognos TM1 environments and delivering complex analytical and reporting solutions. Responsibilities: Cognos TM1 Development & Administration • Hands-on experience with Cognos TM1 components: Perspective, Architect, Performance Modeler, and Contributor Web. • Design, develop, and maintain complex TurboIntegrator (TI) processes, rules, and custom workflows. • Build and automate complex TI processes and chores for data integration and maintenance. • Develop web sheets (Static and Active forms) and TM1 Contributor web applications. Architecture & Migration • Architect and implement distributed, multi-server Cognos environments, including capacity planning, installation, and configuration of TM1 Planning Analytics (v2.1). • Lead and support migration activities from TM1 2.0.9 to IBM Planning Analytics 2.1. Integration & Data Management • Implement Planning Analytics TM1 solutions using Rules, TI Processes, PAx, and PAW. • Design and develop ETL processes and work with relational databases (Oracle experience preferred). • Contribute to the design and development of large-scale enterprise data warehouse and BI solutions. Business Intelligence & Reporting • Architect and deploy financial BI reporting and dashboard solutions across the enterprise. • Work with other Cognos BI tools (Cognos 10 BI, Workspace Advanced, Cognos Insight, Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio, Framework Manager, Transformer/PowerPlay, Cognos Connection, and Cognos Enterprise Planning). Collaboration & Communication • Partner with business and functional teams to align TM1 solutions with organizational goals. • Provide ongoing support, enhancements, and documentation for developed solutions. • Communicate effectively at all organizational levels with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. Qualifications: • Extensive hands-on experience with Cognos TM1 / IBM Planning Analytics (v2.1). • Strong understanding of ETL design, data models, and relational databases (Oracle preferred). • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling. • Experience in migrating TM1 environments (2.0.9 → 2.1). • IBM Certified Developer preferred. • Experience with Workiva is an advantage. • Strong attention to detail, independent worker, and effective team player.
