Cognos Technical Lead

Akkodis is seeking an IBM Cognos Analytics SME for a contract position with a client located near McKinney, TX. We are looking for a highly experienced Cognos professional with expertise in Cognos Analytics 12.x, AI/augmented analytics capabilities, and IBM SPSS predictive analytics. This individual will provide hands-on development support while helping the organization maximize the value of its Cognos platform through innovative reporting, forecasting, and predictive analytics solutions. W2 Pay Rate: $55-$61/hour. Hourly wage may be negotiable based upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Responsibilities: • Provide hands-on development support for Cognos dashboards, reports, and data modules. • Design and optimize Cognos Analytics 12.x solutions that improve reporting performance and user experience. • Leverage Cognos AI and augmented analytics features, including AI Assistant, forecasting, natural language queries, and automated insights. • Develop and support predictive analytics solutions utilizing IBM SPSS Modeler and related technologies. • Integrate predictive models and analytical outputs into Cognos dashboards and reporting environments. • Assist with Cognos platform configuration, administration, security, and performance optimization. • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective analytics solutions. • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting, automation, and decision-making through AI-driven and predictive capabilities. • Troubleshoot complex reporting and data model issues and recommend best-practice solutions. • Provide practical coaching and knowledge transfer to internal team members. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • 7+ years of experience with IBM Cognos Analytics, including report authoring, dashboards, and data modules. • Strong expertise with Cognos Analytics 12.x platform administration, security, and performance tuning. • Hands-on experience utilizing Cognos AI and augmented analytics capabilities. • Experience with IBM SPSS Modeler and predictive analytics methodologies. • Proven ability to integrate predictive model outputs into business intelligence and reporting solutions. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate independently in an enterprise environment. • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Experience operationalizing predictive models and surfacing results through Cognos dashboards. • Experience enabling self-service analytics programs and training end users. • Familiarity with enterprise data warehouses and analytics architecture. • Ability to recommend innovative, non-traditional solutions within the Cognos ecosystem.
