Role description
Title: Data Governance / Collibra Analyst Term: Long term Location: Remote Position Overview We are seeking a Data Governance / Collibra Analyst to support an important federal client. The selected candidate will join an expanding analytics requirement, solutioning, and development team responsible for strengthening enterprise data governance and data catalog capabilities. This role will focus on maintaining, expanding, and optimizing the Collibra Data Catalog, enhancing data documentation, metadata management, and implementing additional Collibra governance capabilities. The candidate will work closely with data engineers, analysts, program stakeholders, and governance teams to ensure data assets are properly cataloged, documented, and governed across the LGY ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Β· Maintain and expand the Collibra Data Catalog. Β· Develop and maintain data governance documentation, including data definitions, lineage, metadata, and business glossaries. Β· Collaborate with analytics, data engineering, and business teams to capture and document data requirements. Β· Configure and implement additional Collibra capabilities, including workflows, lineage, and governance policies. Β· Support the data governance framework by ensuring consistency in metadata standards, naming conventions, and data stewardship practices. Β· Facilitate data discovery and accessibility through proper cataloging and metadata enrichment. Β· Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve data quality, data transparency, and data governance maturity. Β· Provide support in documenting analytics requirements, data sources, and solution architecture for LGY analytics initiatives. Β· Assist with training and onboarding users on data catalog usage and governance best practices. Required Qualifications Β· Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field. Β· 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or analytics support roles. Β· Hands-on experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud or similar data catalog/data governance platforms. Β· Experience with metadata management, business glossary development, and data lineage documentation. Β· Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices. Β· Experience working with analytics or data engineering teams to document data assets and requirements. Β· Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and stakeholder collaboration. Preferred Qualifications Β· Experience supporting federal government or healthcare programs. Β· Knowledge of SQL, data warehousing concepts, or data modeling. Β· Experience with data quality monitoring and governance workflows. Β· Experience working in Agile or DevSecOps environments. Certifications (Preferred) Β· Collibra Certification (Data Steward, Ranger, or Expert level) Β· Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) Β· Agile or Scrum certification (CSM, SAFe, etc.) Cerification β€’ Β· Having any Colibra Cerification is a plus.
