Job Description:
We are looking for a visionary Collibra Data Governance Architect to lead the design and implementation of our enterprise-wide data governance framework. As a senior subject matter expert, you will define the strategic vision for the Collibra platform, creating a scalable and robust architecture that aligns with our business objectives. You will be responsible for the technical blueprint that empowers our organization to treat data as a critical asset.
Responsibilities
Design and Architect: Own the end-to-end solution architecture for the Collibra platform, translating complex business requirements into technical designs and strategic roadmaps.
Develop the Metamodel: Design and establish the enterprise data governance metamodel, including asset models, relationships, attributes, and complex hierarchies to create a comprehensive and business-friendly data catalog.
Define Operating Models: Develop and implement the data governance operating model, defining roles, responsibilities, and sophisticated workflows (BPMN) for processes like data stewardship, issue management, and data quality monitoring.
Lead Integration Strategy: Architect and oversee the integration of Collibra with the broader data ecosystem, including data lakes, data warehouses, MDM hubs, and BI platforms, using Collibra Connect, APIs, and other integration patterns.
Set Standards and Best Practices: Establish and enforce best practices, technical standards, and security models for the Collibra environment to ensure consistency, performance, and reliability.
Provide Technical Leadership: Serve as the foremost technical expert on Collibra, mentoring data governance analysts and developers, and providing guidance on complex technical challenges.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with senior leadership, including Chief Data Officers and business executives, to ensure the Collibra architecture supports strategic data initiatives and delivers tangible business value.
Required Skills & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; a Master’s degree is highly preferred.
Experience: 8+ years of experience in data management, data architecture, or data governance, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role focusing on Collibra.
Collibra Expertise: Expert-level, hands-on experience with the entire Collibra suite, including Collibra DGC, Data Catalog, Collibra Console, and deep proficiency in designing and implementing complex BPMN workflows.
Architectural Acumen: Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale, enterprise-level data governance solutions. Strong command of metamodel design, operating models, and solution architecture principles.
Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of integration patterns and technologies, including REST APIs, JSON, XML, and Collibra Connect. Expertise in SQL and a strong understanding of modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the bigger picture, develop long-term strategic roadmaps, and effectively communicate the value of data governance to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
