Collibra Data Governance Consultant
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months to start.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

REQUIRED SKILLS:
β’ Drive the planning and execution of Data/BI governance initiatives, tasks, and deliverables.
β’ Drive timely completion of governance activities and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
β’ Proactively identify and resolve issues, mitigating risks before they impact deliverables.
β’ Escalate blockers promptly to appropriate forums for resolution.
β’ Coach and mentor team members on data governance principles, practices, policies, standards, and deliverables.
β’ Drive metadata curation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and quality within the business glossary.
β’ Collect, develop, and implement Data Quality (DQ) rules
β’ Ensure semantic alignment of technical metadata (e.g., column names, data types, lineage, physical storage attributes) with enterprise data domains, preserving business meaning across all abstraction layers.
β’ Apply governance standards consistently to all work efforts.
β’ Communicate effectively to drive collaboration, promote governance adoption, and showcase program success
REQUIREMENTS:
β’ Bachelorβs degree required; masterβs degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
β’ Minimum 8 years of experience in data governance and data management implementations.
β’ Proven experience leading data governance, data management, data quality, and data stewardship collaboration.
β’ Solid communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
β’ Strong understanding of DAMA/DMBOK framework.
β’ Familiarity with data modeling
β’ Hands-on experience with Collibra Data Governance and Collibra Data Quality tools is a huge plus.
β’ Prior experience in Delivering Data governance work in an Agile setup is a huge plus.
