Role description
The Collibra Workflow Developer is responsible for building and optimizing 20-30 complex BPMN workflows that transform data access process from weeks-long manual ServiceNow tickets to sub-hour automated provisioning. This role is mission-critical to the program's success, as the transition from manual processes to automated workflows depends entirely on robust workflow implementation. Summary
Required Qualifications
Collibra Platform Expertise
• 3+ years of hands-on Collibra development experience with proven workflow implementation expertise
• Strong proficiency with Collibra Workflow Designer and BPMN 2.0 process modeling
• Deep understanding of Collibra workflow execution engine, lifecycle, and performance characteristics
• Experience with Collibra workflow variables, expressions, and data passing between tasks
• Knowledge of Collibra scripting APIs and workflow extension points
• Familiarity with Collibra platform architecture and integration capabilities
• Understanding of Collibra metamodel concepts and how workflows interact with assets and communities
Programming & Scripting Skills
• Expert proficiency in JavaScript for client-side workflow logic and UI interactions
• Strong proficiency in Groovy for server-side business rule implementation
• Experience with RESTful API integration including authentication, error handling, and testing
• Understanding of asynchronous programming patterns and promise/callback handling
• Proficiency with JSON data structures and manipulation
• Basic SQL knowledge for database queries within workflows
• Version control experience with Git for workflow code management
Workflow & Process Automation
• Deep understanding of business process automation principles and patterns
• Experience designing conditional approval routing with complex decision logic
• Knowledge of workflow state management and transaction handling
• Understanding of error handling patterns and compensating transactions
• Experience with workflow performance optimization techniques
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and asynchronous messaging
Integration & API Development
• Experience integrating data governance platforms with cloud IAM systems
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0, SAML, and API authentication patterns
• Knowledge of API rate limiting, retry logic, and circuit breaker patterns
• Experience with webhook implementations for event-driven integrations
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, or similar)
• Understanding of API versioning and backward compatibility considerations
Testing & Quality
• Experience with unit testing frameworks for JavaScript/Groovy code
• Knowledge of integration testing approaches for multi-system workflows
• Understanding of test-driven development (TDD) practices
• Proficiency with debugging techniques for workflow execution issues
• Experience with performance testing and load simulation
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
• Collibra Developer certification demonstrating platform expertise
• Experience with healthcare data workflows and HIPAA compliance requirements
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform IAM and access control models

• Experience with data classification and sensitivity-based access controls
• Understanding of data governance frameworks and access policies
• Background in Agile/Scrum development methodologies
