Business Analyst II / Junior Commodity Manager (Metals)

About the Role
The Client is seeking a Business Analyst II to support its Robotics Supply Chain team. This position is focused on commodity management, procurement operations, supplier coordination, and data analysis, with a strong emphasis on sustaining programs, Agile/ECO management, and day-to-day supply chain support. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working with large datasets, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Support procurement and supply chain activities for mechanical commodities, primarily metals.
• Manage supplier communications, including RFQs, delivery updates, and documentation requests.
• Track purchase orders, supplier performance, and delivery metrics.
• Maintain procurement records, pricing databases, and supplier documentation.
• Create reports, dashboards, and spend analysis using Excel.
• Assist with demand and supply planning activities for component needs.
• Support Agile PLM and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes.
• Research suppliers, market trends, pricing benchmarks, and commodity data.
• Participate in supplier onboarding, quality tracking, and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams on ongoing projects and cost-reduction initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Transportation, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting.
• Understanding of systems and configuration management concepts.
• Analyst background through work experience or academic focus.
Preferred Skills
• ERP experience, preferably Oracle.
• SQL proficiency.
• Supply chain, procurement, or commodity management experience.
• Experience working with business analytics and operational reporting.
• Exposure to Agile PLM, ECO management, or manufacturing environments is a plus.
