Role description
Overview
The FE Infrastructure team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer with extensive experience in Front-End (FE) flows, tools, and methodologies. This role requires deep technical expertise across multiple verification tools and platforms, with a proven ability to solve complex challenges in FE infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with regression management, tool deployment, and collaboration with leading EDA vendors.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Development & Maintenance of Verification Flows: Design, support, and continuously improve highly complex, scalable, and efficient verification flows. Collaborate on advanced flow-based regression tools and provide ongoing updates to meet evolving project requirements.
β’ Regression Management & Triage: Lead regression management systems, including flow-based regression support. Proactively manage regression triage, interactive user needs, and troubleshoot issues to ensure seamless project execution. Debug and resolve issues related to coverage, regression failures, and overall flow stability.
β’ EDA Tool & Vendor Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for complex simulation and verification tool issues. Provide advanced debugging, troubleshooting, and resolution for challenging tool-related problems. Work closely with EDA vendors to coordinate tool support, resolve escalations, and maintain strong technical partnerships.
β’ RTL Architecture Tool Deployment & Support: Deploy, integrate, and maintain tools for RTL architecture, ensuring seamless interaction with FE verification flows.
β’ Version Control Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of Git and related systems to support and enhance version control workflows.
Requirements
β’ 10+ years of experience with a Bachelorβs Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, OR 8+ years with a Masterβs Degree, OR 6+ years with a PhD.
β’ Proven experience designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting FE Design Verification flows and CAD infrastructure for large-scale, high-performance projects.
β’ Expertise in flow-based regression management, with strong analytical skills in debugging regression and coverage issues.
β’ Hands-on experience with industry-standard tools such as logic simulators, verification platforms, and RTL architecture tools, including xprop configuration.
β’ Advanced knowledge of version control systems including Git, Perforce, and Git-P4 interfaces.
β’ Strong communication skills with experience interfacing directly with EDA vendors to resolve issues and optimize tool performance.
β’ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
