Confluent Kafka Engineer

Confluent Kafka Engineer Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite) Duration: 12+ Months We are looking for an experienced Confluent Kafka Engineer to join our team and help design, build, and optimize scalable, real-time streaming solutions. Required Skills: • Strong expertise in Apache Kafka, Confluent Platform, Kafka Producers/Consumers, Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, Kafka Streams, and ksqlDB. • Proficiency in Java (preferred), Python, or Scala, with experience deploying Kafka on Confluent Cloud, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. • Hands-on experience with Kafka monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and implementing secure streaming using SSL/TLS, SASL authentication, and RBAC. • Telecom industry experience working with OSS/BSS, CRM, Billing, CDRs, Network Events (4G/5G), and real-time data streaming pipelines. • Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and building scalable, high-performance streaming solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Build and manage real-time streaming pipelines using Kafka. • Integrate Kafka with telecom systems, including OSS/BSS, CRM, and billing platforms. • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Kafka environments to ensure high availability and performance. • Deliver scalable, low-latency streaming solutions that support mission-critical telecom operations. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Apache Flink or Spark Streaming. • Knowledge of microservices architecture. • Confluent or Apache Kafka certifications.
