CONTENT WRITER
NEW CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE FOR A CONTENT WRITER IN ROMSEY
• Initial 3-month contract
• £300 per day (Inside IR35)
• Hybrid working - Minimum 2 days per week onsite in Romsey

WHO WE ARE?
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK technology and engineering organisation that delivers innovative solutions across defence, national security and complex engineering sectors. As part of an exciting marketing transformation programme, they are investing in new strategic campaigns, refreshed brand messaging and high-value technical content to further strengthen their market position.
They are now looking for an experienced Content Writer to join the Marketing team on an initial 3-month contract, creating compelling, technically credible content that supports demand generation, thought leadership and customer engagement.
WHAT WILL THE CONTENT WRITER BE DOING?
As the Content Writer, you'll be responsible for producing engaging, technically accurate content that supports the launch of four strategic marketing campaigns and the rollout of a new brand messaging framework.
Working closely with Product Marketing, Campaign Marketing, technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), senior business stakeholders and external agencies, you'll translate complex engineering and technology concepts into compelling customer-focused content across multiple formats.
You'll also play an important role in refreshing existing marketing assets, building a scalable content library and ensuring content aligns with SEO best practice, campaign objectives and the organisation's evolving tone of voice.
THE CONTENT WRITER SHOULD HAVE…
• Proven experience within Content Writing, Technical Writing, Content Marketing, Journalism or PR
• Experience producing white papers, thought leadership, technical guides, blogs and long-form content
• Experience working alongside technical SMEs and senior stakeholders
• Ability to translate complex engineering or technical concepts into engaging customer-focused content
• Strong interviewing, research and storytelling skills
• Experience writing SEO-optimised content from agency or marketing briefs
• Understanding of content marketing, digital marketing and lead generation
• Experience managing multiple content projects and stakeholder reviews
• Familiarity with CMS platforms and content governance best practice
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Previous experience within technology, engineering, defence, cybersecurity, aerospace, government or another complex B2B environment would be highly beneficial
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Produce high-quality content including white papers, technical guides, blogs, case studies, executive briefs, datasheets and website copy
• Develop cornerstone messaging and supporting content for four strategic marketing campaigns
• Create thought leadership, technical explainers and gated content to support awareness and demand generation
• Repurpose long-form content into campaign assets across digital, PR, social media, website and sales enablement channels
• Support the rollout of new brand messaging and tone of voice across all customer-facing content
• Audit, refresh and modernise existing brochures, datasheets, presentations and marketing collateral
• Produce SEO-informed content using agency briefs and keyword research
• Interview technical Subject Matter Experts to develop credible, technically accurate content
• Work closely with Product Marketing, Campaign Marketing and external agencies to deliver projects on time
• Coordinate content reviews and approvals with key stakeholders
• Build and maintain an organised content library for future campaigns
• Monitor content performance and identify opportunities for optimisation
• Explore AI-assisted content creation tools to improve efficiency while maintaining quality
