Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation (CDM) Technical Lead / SME to join their team! This position is located in Bethesda, Maryland.
Duties:
• Serve as the technical lead for the implementation, configuration, and integration of CDM APL tools
• Manage and optimize data flows between sensors, agents, and the CDM dashboard using Elastic Stack components
• Support the development and tuning of data pipelines for asset and vulnerability data aggregation
• Collaborate with security engineers and federal stakeholders to ensure compliance with CDM and DHS cybersecurity requirements
• Provide subject matter expertise on hardware/software asset management and vulnerability management processes
• Conduct technical assessments and develop documentation to support tool deployment and data accuracy
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to data ingestion, normalization, and visualization within the CDM ecosystem
• Stay current with DHS CDM program updates, emerging cybersecurity tools, and data analytics technologies
Desired Skills/Experience:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with CDM APL tools: HWAM, SWAM, VUL categories
• Proficiency with Elastic Stack: Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana and CDM dashboards
• Strong knowledge of network security, data integration, and federal cybersecurity compliance frameworks
• Experience working in federal government environments or similar regulated industries
• Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers or analysts
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Relevant certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, Elastic Certified Engineer preferred
