Role description
Role: Business Analyst Project: Products Data Exchange Industry: Energy & commodities trading Location: London (hybrid 3 days per week) Rate: £700-800/d (inside IR35) Contract: 6 months initial (multiyear scope) X4 Technology are partnered with a leading global energy trading firm offering the opportunity for a contract Business Analyst to support a major data transformation programme within their Trading & Supply division. This role sits within the Products Data Exchange (PDE) initiative - a strategic programme delivering a centralised, cloud-based data platform as a single source of truth, enabling consistent global reporting, near real-time data access and sharper decision-making across Products trading. The successful Business Analyst will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to build a centralised trading data repository, enable near real-time datasets for intraday reporting, drive cloud modernisation and strengthen data foundations to unlock advanced analytics, data science, and AI capabilities. Requirements for the Contract Business Analyst (Commodities) • Strong Business Analysis experience within energy trading or commodities environments • Experience working with trading system and data platforms • Understanding of data architecture, data flows and cloud-based environments • Experience supporting large-scale data or digital transformation programmes • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills This is a 6 month initial contract but with multiyear scope offering a day rate of £700-800/d inside IR35. Interviews are being lined up for week commencing 13th April.
