Role: Contract Business Analyst (SAP S/4 Hana) Programme: ERP Transformation (Finance & Tax) Industry: Oil & Gas Location: London (hybrid 3 days per week) Contract: Initial 6 months Rate: £650-700/d inside IR35 X4 Technology are partnered with a global oil & gas organisation to recruit a contract Business Analyst for a major ERP transformation programme. This initiative will help shape the future of enterprise operations by migrating multiple assets to a next-gen SAP S/4 HANA Digital Core ERP, enabling streamlined financial processes, standardised data and actionable insights. As the bridge between business and technology, you'll translate business needs into actionable ERP solutions, optimise finance and asset workflows, and ultimately ensure reliable data is at the heart of decision-making. Responsibilities of the Business Analyst (SAP S/4 HANA ERP) • Capture and analyse business problems and requirements, translating them into actionable ERP solutions. • Maintain clear, structured documentation with full traceability from requirements to testing. • Configure and document software and business processes using agreed standards and tools. • Define acceptance criteria and coordinate testing to ensure solutions meet business needs. • Lead stakeholder engagement and facilitate large-scale requirements capture and design sessions. Requirements for the Business Analyst (SAP S/4 HANA ERP) • Strong experience in ERP transformations, preferably SAP S/4HANA. • Solid understanding of finance and tax processes within complex organisations. • Proven ability to capture, document, and validate requirements, including defining acceptance criteria • Skilled in stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and large-scale design sessions • Experience with process standardisation, system configuration, and cross-functional integration The role is hybrid in London (3 days per week) offering rates of £650-700/d (inside IR35).
