Role description
Have you led complex change initiatives and untangled legacy systems to enable modern platforms? My client is seeking an experienced Contract Business Analyst to support a major legacy system migration programme. This role sits at the heart of a large transformation, working closely with technical teams and stakeholders to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements. The role • Leading requirements discovery for the migration of legacy systems to modern platforms • Working closely with engineering, architecture and delivery teams to bridge business and technical needs • Documenting as-is and to-be processes, data flows and system interactions • Producing clear artefacts including business requirements, functional specs, user stories and process maps • Supporting data and system mapping between legacy and target solutions • Identifying risks, dependencies and gaps throughout the migration lifecycle • Engaging with senior stakeholders to validate scope, priorities and outcomes What we're looking for • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst on legacy system migrations • Strong background in complex, enterprise-scale change programmes • Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Solid understanding of system integration, data migration and dependencies • Confident producing high-quality documentation and analysis artefacts • Comfortable working in agile, hybrid or waterfall delivery environments • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Nice to have • Experience within financial services, government or regulated environments • Exposure to cloud or platform modernisation programmes • Experience working alongside product owners and architects • Knowledge of data modelling or process automation tools This is a contract role suited to someone who can quickly get up to speed, ask the right questions and add value from day one.
