Contract Data Engineer

Data Engineer - Contract Location & Onsite Requirements: St Pauls (London), 3 days/week onsite Rate: TBC Join a global investment manager with £120+ billion in assets under management, operating across five continents. Data powers everything we do. For an investment management firm, the ability to deliver accurate, timely, and accessible data to our stakeholders isn't just important—it's mission-critical. Responsibilities • Help architect, design, and build a modern data platform from the ground up • Get hands-on with code, working alongside software engineers, data engineers, and analysts • Support and enhance both existing systems and greenfield projects • Build relationships through delivery—work in rapid POC mode, engage stakeholders early, and embrace a fail-fast mentality • Partner with IT Heads, Engineering Leads, and Product Owners to bring our technology strategy to life • Collaborate across boundaries because we succeed together Requirements • A genuine desire to build and be part of a high-performing team • Honours degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field • 5+ years hands-on experience with C# or Python • Real-world experience with Snowflake • 2+ years experience with Databricks • Asset Management or Financial Services background is a plus, but not required
