Description Core Banking System Migration Lead - Savings Migration Lead accountability • End-to-end ownership of the migration strategy, design and execution. • Definition of scope, approach, tooling and acceptance criteria. • Ownership of the migration plan, including defining key dates, stage gates, rehearsal cycles, entry/exit criteria and readiness milestones. • Delivery of agreed milestones and provision of accurate status, risks and dependencies into the integrated programme plan. • Identification and management of cross-workstream impacts arising from migration activities • Data mapping, transformation, reconciliation and validation frameworks. • Dress rehearsals, cutover execution and rollback readiness. • Migration risk identification, mitigation and readiness to proceed. • Business, operational and regulatory stakeholder confidence in migration outcomes. • Post-migration validation and hyper care for migrated data. • Lead the end-to-end migration process of core banking systems within the savings department. • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals. • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the migration process. • Develop and implement detailed project plans to ensure timely delivery of objectives. • Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues promptly. • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the migration process. • Provide technical guidance and support to the project team as required. • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders at all levels. • Lead day-to-day engagement with the incoming core banking vendor and/or system integrator to ensure migration requirements, tooling, environments and deliverables are understood and achieved. • Define and manage supplier responsibilities across data extraction, transformation, loading, reconciliation and defect resolution. • Coordinate with the incumbent platform provider to secure timely access to data, documentation, SMEs and support throughout rehearsal and cutover cycles. Profile A successful Core Banking System Migration Lead - Savings should have: • Proven track record and strong expertise in data migration, including data profiling, mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation and defect remediation. • Strong understanding of Savings products (Easy Access, Notice, Fixed Term - ISA and Non-ISA) and associated regulatory, operational, interest and data requirements. • Experience working with modern Core Banking platforms • Proven experience in managing system migration projects within the banking industry. • Strong knowledge of core banking systems, particularly within savings operations. • Excellent project management skills with a focus on delivering within deadlines. • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to banking. • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Qualifications: • Degree level education or equivalent professional experience. • Recognised certification or formal training in data migration, data management or enterprise data disciplines, or demonstrable equivalent experience gained through delivery. • Evidence of leading complex migration or large-scale data transition initiatives within regulated financial services environments. • Programme or project management experience (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2, PMP).
