Position: Corporate Actions Analyst
Address: Brooklyn NY 11245
Pay Rate: $27.00 - $30.00
Duration: 6 Months (RTH is possible)
Hours: 8:30-5:30
JOB DESCRIPTION
Accurately and efficiently process corporate action events for clients across the Americas (WHEM) markets, ensuring all instructions and entitlements are managed in line with market deadlines and client requirements.
Deliver timely completion of controls, checks, instructions, and client queries, maintaining operational excellence in all aspects of asset servicing.
Proactively manage group email boxes and internal enquiry tools, resolving client facing teams and internal queries related to corporate actions.
Partner with Product, Network Management, sub-custodians, and vendors to collaboratively resolve complex operational issues and drive process improvements.
Continuously review and enhance processes and procedures to minimize risk, boost efficiency, and support best-in-class service delivery for corporate actions.
Provide expert support, guidance, and training to colleagues, helping to elevate the global client experience and foster team development in corporate action processing.
Support in managing the instruction process, balancing team workloads, and driving strategic initiatives related to corporate actions.
Conduct thorough reviews of manual controls for timely execution and accuracy, ensuring robust risk mitigation and operational integrity in corporate action processing.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gathered requirements, user story creation and system testing for mandatory and voluntary corporate actions in-house applications
• Developed project roadmaps for client CA initiatives i.e Data Feeds, Client Data, Reconciliation, Data Mapping, SWIFT Messages, User Interface and Data Publishing
Supported corporate actions processing for both mandatory and voluntary events by assisting with system updates and checking data accuracy.
• Gathered information and feedback from operations teams to improve how internal systems handle voluntary and mandatory events.
• Entered and tracked corporate action details into internal systems; followed up with middle office or tech support if data was missing or incorrect.
• Participated in testing updates to internal tools and workflows, ensuring events processed correctly and client entitlements were calculated as expected.
• Assisted in monitoring email inboxes and inquiry queues, routing client questions or breaks to the correct teams and helping to track resolution.
• Helped review SWIFT messages (MT564/566) and internal notifications for completeness and clarity before processing instructions.
• Maintained basic tracking logs and shared status updates on pending events, unresolved client issues, or delayed entitlements.
• Flagged repeat processing problems to managers, helping identify small changes that could reduce manual steps or avoid errors.
• Contributed to cleanup projects and data reviews, helping align event data across systems like Broadridge, DTCC feeds, and internal systems.
Tech Business Analyst-Corporate Actions Domain
Performed data analyses and designed technical solutions in response to SaaS and BPaaS client's Corporate Action Domain needs
• Participated in all phases of technical development (e.g., gathering business requirements, writing user stories, design, configuration, testing support, training, and go-live activities) with clients and development teams
• Recommended and validated technical solutions to meet requirements based on understanding of how technical solutions will impact the business processes and client relationships
Associate-Global Corporate Actions
• Liaised with internal and international banking staff, custodians, and central depositories to support daily global corporate actions
• Processed daily payments, trade confirmations, regulatory reporting, fund transfers, Fails and buy-ins for Euroclear, Clearstream, Crest, DTC trades and Depositary Receipt conversions
• Investigated discrepancies and aging items related to past corporate action events in custody and settlements.
• Partnered with client service, settlements, and reconciliation teams to identify root causes of errors and resolve break items.
• Supported event processing cleanup, instruction review, and entitlement validation for U.S. and international markets.
Senior Associate-Depositary Receipts – Corporate Actions
• Processed income and reorg events for American and Global Depositary Receipts (ADRs/GDRs), including dividends, stock splits, and
conversions.
• Investigated client inquiries related to missed entitlements, rate discrepancies, and cross-border tax adjustments on DR events.
• Tracked and escalated unresolved DR-related breaks or settlement issues, maintaining clear communication with middle office and reconciliation teams.
• Handled client elections for voluntary DR events such as rights issues and tender offers, ensuring instructions were captured and transmitted within market deadlines.
• Coordinated with global markets teams to manage FX conversions for dividend payments on cross-border DR events, ensuring accurate currency rates and value dates.
• Supported withholding tax processing on DR income events, validating tax rates and documentation in coordination with tax operations and custody teams.
• Communicated with issuers, transfer agents, and internal legal/compliance teams to interpret DR event terms and ensure operational alignment with local market practices.
