Job Title: Cribl Engineer / Cribl SME
Location: Hybrid, Vienna-VA
Duration: 12+ Months
Experience: 8+ year
Visa: Green Card/ USC and W2 (It's a client requirement)
Salary: $55hr β $60/hr (negotiable)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cribl Engineer to design, implement, and optimize observability and data pipeline solutions using Cribl Stream. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing log/metric data flows, improving data efficiency, and integrating with modern SIEM and observability platforms.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, deploy, and manage data pipelines using Cribl Stream
β’ Configure routing, filtering, parsing, and transformation of log/metric data
β’ Optimize data ingestion and reduce costs across observability platforms
β’ Integrate Cribl with tools like Splunk, Elastic Stack, and Datadog
β’ Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot data flow issues
β’ Implement data governance, masking, and compliance controls
β’ Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines
β’ Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and Security teams
Required Qualifications
β’ 3β8+ years of experience in log management, observability, or data engineering
β’ Hands-on experience with Cribl Stream (pipelines, routes, packs, edge nodes)
β’ Strong understanding of log formats (JSON, syslog, regex parsing)
β’ Experience with Linux/Unix environments
β’ Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or similar)
β’ Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, Elastic, Sentinel)
β’ Knowledge of data ingestion optimization and cost control strategies
β’ Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments
β’ Exposure to infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)
β’ Cribl certification (if available)

Compensation
Compensation: $55.00 β $60.00 per hour
