Role description
Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Cursor Engineer with strong software development expertise and hands-on experience leveraging Cursor AI IDE to accelerate application development, code modernization, debugging, and automation. The ideal candidate should be proficient in modern programming languages, AI-assisted coding workflows, and software engineering best practices while effectively integrating LLM-powered development tools into the SDLC. Key Responsibilities β€’ Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable enterprise applications using AI-assisted development practices. β€’ Utilize Cursor AI IDE to improve developer productivity through intelligent code generation, refactoring, debugging, and documentation. β€’ Build and maintain high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code following software engineering best practices. β€’ Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. β€’ Optimize AI prompts and workflows to maximize Cursor's effectiveness for coding, testing, and documentation. β€’ Review AI-generated code for quality, security, performance, and maintainability. β€’ Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with cloud-native services and third-party platforms. β€’ Automate repetitive development tasks using scripting and AI-assisted workflows. β€’ Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, code reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. β€’ Mentor team members on AI-assisted software development best practices. Required Skills β€’ 4+ years of professional software development experience. β€’ Hands-on experience using Cursor AI IDE in enterprise development environments. β€’ Strong programming experience in one or more languages: β€’ Python β€’ Java β€’ JavaScript / TypeScript β€’ C# β€’ Go (preferred) β€’ Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices. β€’ Strong understanding of Git, GitHub/GitLab, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines. β€’ Experience with modern frameworks such as React, Angular, Spring Boot, .NET, or Node.js. β€’ Understanding of prompt engineering and effective utilization of LLMs in software development. β€’ Experience with debugging, code refactoring, automated testing, and performance optimization. β€’ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Preferred Qualifications β€’ Experience with AI coding assistants such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Windsurf, or Amazon Q. β€’ Knowledge of OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini APIs. β€’ Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). β€’ Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation). β€’ Knowledge of secure coding standards and DevSecOps practices. β€’ Experience integrating AI into developer workflows and SDLC automation. Nice to Have β€’ Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). β€’ Experience building AI-powered developer tools or internal engineering platforms. β€’ MCP (Model Context Protocol) knowledge. β€’ Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex. β€’ Exposure to AI agent frameworks and autonomous coding workflows.
