Role description
We are looking for a D365 Business Solutions Analyst who brings a strong blend of analytical capability and delivery coordination to support system improvements, optimization efforts, and enterprise-wide technology initiatives. This role operates at the intersection of business and technology to connect functional teams, technical resources, and end users to ensure requirements are clearly defined, solutions are well executed, and initiatives progress smoothly.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats: balancing business analysis with project coordination, maintaining structure amid change, and driving outcomes through clarity, collaboration, and execution.
Core Responsibilities
Business Analysis & D365 Support
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT partners to analyze workflows and translate operational needs into functional requirements for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and/or Business Central.
• Produce high-quality artifacts including user stories, process diagrams, functional designs, and supporting documentation.
• Lead discovery sessions and working workshops to evaluate existing processes and design future-state solutions.
• Participate in system configuration, testing cycles, issue analysis, and ongoing optimization initiatives.
• Support intake, refinement, and prioritization of enhancement requests and system backlog items.
• Contribute to release planning and deployment activities.
• Provide post-deployment assistance such as end-user training, issue triage, and resolution support.
Project Coordination & Execution
• Organize and track project activities, timelines, deliverables, and status across multiple teams.
• Maintain detailed project records including RAID logs, meeting summaries, action trackers, and sprint documentation.
• Monitor dependencies, risks, and milestones; surface issues early and escalate as needed.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing efforts, including test case management, defect tracking, triage, and approvals.
• Act as a point of coordination with external vendors or partners to ensure alignment and accountability.
• Support go-live preparation, cutover execution, and post-launch stabilization.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Engagement
• Serve as a central connector between business subject matter experts, technical teams, and leadership.
• Communicate progress, risks, and impacts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Partner with leadership to sequence and prioritize initiatives based on business value, urgency, and capacity.
• Assist with change management efforts, including training delivery and internal communications.
Required Experience & Qualifications
• 3–7+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, with preference for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Business Central environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting ERP enhancements, implementations, or module-focused initiatives.
• Strong working knowledge of core business functions such as Finance, Supply Chain, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Inventory, or Operations.
• 1–3 years of experience providing project coordination or delivery support for IT or enterprise technology projects.
• Demonstrated ability to create and maintain documentation including functional requirements, process maps, user stories, and test scripts.
• Exposure to Agile, hybrid, or iterative delivery frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple initiatives, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Background & Skills
• Experience collaborating with third-party vendors or system integrators.
• Familiarity with Power Platform tools, workflow automation, or analytics/reporting solutions such as Power BI.
• Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master, Microsoft D365 Functional certifications).
