ROLE
The D365 Supply Chain Business Analyst is the core contributor for the manufacturing and procurement aspects of Microsoft D365 Finance and Supply Chain ERP.
The BA is responsible for the evaluation of new business requirements and the development of new solutions & services to meet those requirements. An integral part of this role is to design the standardization of processes & systems for all requirements that are part of the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Procurement areas, and to implement those standards and best practice across all platforms in a secure, effective, and scalable manner.
The BA’s role is highly collaborative, contributing to the systems design for their area, working closely with the D365 Architect and other Business Analysts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements, aligned with business. Objective gaining a full understanding of current business processes and identifying opportunities for improvements.
• Sustain the design standards for the areas ensuring that we reuse standard configurations and processes, evaluate requests for modification working closely with the D365 Architect and other Business Analysts to present to CAB for approval, modification, or rejection of changes.
• Ensure that processes are established and followed, and are appropriately documented, including comprehensive testing procedures in line with SOX and GxP requirements.
• Assist users in testing and adoption of process improvements working closely with Business Partners, D365 Architect, and other Business Analysts.
• Provide support and assistance with corrective actions when system issues occur forming part of the Tier 2 support group.
• Provide support for continuous process improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
• Must have 3+ years direct experience in analysis and documentation for the Manufacturing and Procurement areas of Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations in a public regulated (life science) company.
• Experience with manufacturing business processes shown below is preferred:
• Master Scheduling
• Production Planning
• Inventory Control
• Warehouse Management / Logistics
Business Analyst skills:
• Requirements gathering
• Writing and reviewing Functional Design Documents (FDDs)
• Data migration using the Data management framework in Dynamics 365
• Azure DevOps
Personal Attributes:
• Excellent ability to collaborate and engage with IT, business customers and external third parties.
• Excellent organization skills, with strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
