Role description
Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Samsung through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions (AGS). If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Samsung Summary: Position Summary The Product Liability (PL) Data Analyst & Claim Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence across product liability claims, customer care, and business process improvement. This hybrid role combines advanced analytics, claim management, project leadership, and customer experience optimization to enhance operational performance and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will leverage data-driven insights to improve claim outcomes, customer satisfaction, and overall business efficiency while serving as a key liaison between business stakeholders, customer care, legal teams, and IT. Key Responsibilities 1. Product Liability Claim Management Manage claims throughout the product liability claim lifecycle, ensuring timely review, investigation, and resolution. Coordinate with claimants, subrogation adjusters, attorneys, and internal stakeholders to gather necessary claim information and documentation. Monitor claim trends, identify recurring issues, and recommend proactive solutions to mitigate future risk. Develop and implement strategies to improve claimant satisfaction through streamlined communication and reduced claim resolution times. Support customer accommodations and claim-related inquiries as needed. 1. Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Analyze operational, claims, and customer data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Perform advanced statistical analysis, including regression analysis, variance analysis, and predictive modeling, to support business decisions. Develop actionable recommendations based on analytical findings. Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or similar business intelligence tools. Collaborate with IT and business partners to ensure data integrity, system optimization, and effective data flow across platforms. Support cross-functional initiatives by providing meaningful data insights and performance metrics. 1. Customer Experience & Operational Excellence Analyze end-to-end customer and claim processes to identify pain points and implement effective solutions. Map customer and claim journeys to uncover process improvement opportunities and enhance operational efficiency. Develop and implement back-office strategies that improve workflow effectiveness and system utilization. Enhance customer care operations through data-driven improvements that increase response quality, service levels, and customer satisfaction. Monitor operational KPIs and recommend corrective actions to improve overall performance. 1. Quality Management & Continuous Improvement Monitor and evaluate customer interactions, claims handling activities, and service quality standards. Conduct periodic and ad hoc analyses to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities. Perform root cause analyses to address operational inefficiencies and recurring issues. Design, document, and improve business processes, workflows, and operational procedures. Research industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to support innovation and continuous improvement initiatives. 1. Project Management Lead and support cross-functional projects from initiation through implementation. Develop project plans, timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies. Track project progress, identify roadblocks, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful outcomes. Document project deliverables, lessons learned, and best practices for future application. Ensure projects align with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations. 1. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Partner closely with Customer Care, Legal, IT, Product Development, and Operations teams to drive business objectives. Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and execution. Support strategic planning and decision-making through data-driven recommendations. Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute operational and analytical insights. 1. Reporting & Executive Presentations Develop comprehensive reporting on operational performance, claim activity, customer experience, and risk management metrics. Create executive-level presentations that effectively communicate key findings, business insights, recommendations, and project updates. Translate complex analytical information into clear, actionable business recommendations. Ensure all reports and presentations are professional, concise, and visually impactful. Required Qualifications Education β€’ Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. β€’ Technical Skills β€’ Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. β€’ Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities. β€’ Proficiency in statistical analysis, including regression and variance analysis. β€’ Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization platforms. β€’ Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and automation (Pandas preferred). β€’ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VBA and automation techniques. β€’ Systems & Tools β€’ Experience with database management systems such as MySQL. β€’ Familiarity with CRM platforms, SAP, call management systems, or similar operational tools. β€’ Experience integrating data from multiple systems and sources. β€’ Professional Experience β€’ Experience in product liability, claims management, insurance operations, customer care operations, or related business functions. β€’ Proven success in business process improvement and operational optimization. β€’ Experience developing dashboards and performance reporting solutions. β€’ Strong project management experience, including planning, execution, monitoring, and stakeholder communication. β€’ Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and drive measurable business improvements. β€’ Preferred Qualifications β€’ Product Liability or Claims Management experience. β€’ Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, Agile, or equivalent). β€’ Fluency in Korean and English.
