Role description
Position: Data Analyst
Location: Charlotte, NC, St. Louis, MO or Dallas, TX (mostly remote, but occasional onsite)
Duration: 12-month contract, Possible extension/conversion

Job Summary
This Job is responsible for supporting and ensuring quality of data. Assisting with issues by data partners, applications or other data consumers. They could also be responsible for assisting in work related to the merger. Assisting in evaluation of feature or Tech Dept work. The role also acts as a bridge between our business and technical teams but must be strong technically themselves. Good working knowledge of AI to improve velocity.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Act as liaison/bridge between business and technical team
Ensure that product meets user needs as well as aligning with company goals
Assist in data inquiries e.g. questions about data drops, duplicates, correctness, etc.
Research data lineage as well as trace data mapping
Ability to perform data quality checks and anomaly detections
Attend weekly meetings for Triage of tickets and Production Migration Requests (PMR)
Work in JIRA to open and update tickets when needed
Work with DQ/DV teams to ensure thorough testing and leveraging on Monte Carlo and Octane to meet SR standards
Review current processes and assist in checking completeness of these processes
Identify areas of improvement for team and strive to implement best practices
Required Qualifications
β’ 5+ yearsβ experience with SQL (analysis, writing Ad hoc SQL queries, data validation and data quality)
β’ 5+ yearsβ experience in an enterprise environment
β’ 3-5 years programing experience (Python and UNIX shell scripting are a major plus)
β’ Ability to perform critical thinking and work through challenges
β’ Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities
β’ Proven problem solver
β’ Strong attention to detail
β’ Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
β’ Detail oriented
β’ Self-motivated, proactive and results driven
β’ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
β’ Must work well with others and promote a positive Team environment
β’ Excellent team skills
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience working with UNIX Shell scripting
β’ Experience with Python
β’ Snowflake experience
β’ Data warehousing experience
