Role description
Optomi, in partnership with a leading telecommunications company, is seeking a Data Analyst to support our Finance reporting team. This role will focus on writing SQL queries, analyzing datasets to uncover trends and insights, and partnering with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to solve business problems. The ideal candidate enjoys exploring data, asking thoughtful questions, and translating business needs into actionable analysis.
Job Qualifications:
• Strong experience writing SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• Hands-on experience working with enterprise data warehouse platforms such as: Snowflake (preferred), Teradata, Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, or BigQuery.
• Experience performing data analysis and validating datasets to support business decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down ambiguous business questions.
• Experience gathering requirements from both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to business audiences.
Job Responsibilities:
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from enterprise data warehouses.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and business insights for Finance stakeholders.
• Support recurring and ad-hoc reporting initiatives for financial and operational metrics.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into analytical solutions.
• Analyze complex business problems and present clear, structured findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and reporting processes.
• Document data logic, reporting definitions, and analytical methodologies.
