Data Analyst
Customer & Banking Analytics
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: $45-$50/hr W2
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Data Analyst to join a growing Customer Insights & Executive Reporting team supporting Commercial Banking, Wealth Management, and Personal & Business Banking initiatives.
This role is ideal for an analyst who enjoys working with data, solving business problems, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver meaningful insights. The successful candidate will help business leaders better understand customer behavior, growth opportunities, and engagement trends through data-driven analysis.
What You'll Be Doing
• Pull, clean, analyze, and validate data from multiple enterprise systems
• Write SQL queries to support reporting and analytical initiatives
• Build and maintain dashboards using Power BI and other reporting tools
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical needs
• Support customer growth, engagement, and retention analysis
• Create reports, dashboards, and presentations that help drive business decisions
• Validate data and ensure reporting accuracy
• Respond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests
Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Reporting, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Banking or Financial Services experience
• Strong SQL skills including joins, subqueries, and data validation
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting customer analytics initiatives
• Experience working with large enterprise datasets
• Familiarity with Power BI data modeling and DAX
• Exposure to Python for analytics or automation
• Experience supporting Commercial Banking, Wealth Management, or Consumer Banking teams
