Data Analyst II
Location: Remote (PST preferred)
Contract Type: Contract (potential to extend or convert)
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst II with advanced SQL expertise and strong experience in product analytics and CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization). This role supports the development of a new application system through data integration, experimentation, and quality assurance. You will influence product performance, customer experience, and business decision‑making through deep analytical insights.
About the Role
You will join a collaborative team of four core analysts and partner with cross‑functional teams across product, marketing, ecommerce, CRM, BI, and engineering. Your work will focus on onboarding a new platform, analyzing data flows, optimizing user pathways, validating data accuracy, and driving insights across the full customer funnel.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze and interpret data across systems, products, and platforms
• Map and validate data fields between legacy and new systems
• Conduct discrepancy and root‑cause analysis to resolve data variances
• Lead A/B testing strategy, execution, and evaluation
• Perform product analytics, including funnel analysis, retention, user flows, and engagement metrics
• Conduct CRO analysis to identify friction points and optimize conversion funnels
• Build dashboards and reports to track KPIs and surface actionable insights
• Conduct pathing analysis (CTR, conversion funnels, journey drop‑offs)
• Partner with stakeholders to support subscription, marketing, product, and ecommerce initiatives
• Present complex analytical findings in clear, concise business terms
• Collaborate with IT, BI, and Operations to resolve data accuracy and quality issues
Must‑Have Skills & Experience
Technical
• Advanced SQL (required)
• Excel proficiency
• Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
• Experience with ETL processes or automated pipelines
• Experience with Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
• Strong understanding of relational databases
• Experience with API workflows or Airflow
Domain Expertise — MUST HAVE
• CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) experience
• Product analytics experience (funnel analysis, cohort analysis, growth metrics, engagement/retention analysis)
• Experience in digital product, ecommerce, or online user behavior analytics
Soft Skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving
• Excellent communication skills for presenting insights
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Curious, proactive, and comfortable driving initiatives
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field
• 2–4 years of experience in data analytics (digital/ecommerce preferred)
• Experience analyzing multiple revenue streams (LTV, recurring billing, payouts)
• Experience designing and interpreting A/B and multivariate tests
• Ability to prioritize KPIs and manage complex analytical workstreams
Nice-to-Haves
• Advanced multivariate A/B testing
• Additional CRO methodologies
• Growth analytics and trend identification
